MKE Fine Craft Studio Tour - October 3 & 4, 2020 - Milwaukee County.
The MKE Fine Craft Studio Tour strives to connect Fine Craft Artists from Milwaukee and beyond to their surrounding neighborhoods. The purpose is to give the public a view into their studios and to promote Fine Craft fields and emerging and established artists.
Fashioned after the popular "Open Studio" concept, this event will be a self guided driving tour of WDCC member studios that reside in Milwaukee County. These 'Host' studios are also encouraged to have one or more guest member artist(s) so more of our members can participate.....and ideally, draw in more attendees.
We would like to invite all of our members who reside in Milwaukee County to consider being a host artist and one of the stops on the Tour. We also would like to invite all of our other artist members living outside of Milwaukee county to apply to this show as a guest artist.
Application can be found on the show website: https://www.mkefinecraftstudiotour.org/application
January 31st: 2020 Artist Application released (here on this website)
March 15: HOST Artists/Studios application deadline. This is if you want your studio to be a stop on the tour. Your stop must be in Milwaukee County. We encourage geographical groupings of studios if possible; this increases traffic to your stop, encourage nearby artists/studios to also apply! If you have guest artists in mind, that will make the planning process easier moving forward.
April 1st: Host artists/studios notified of acceptance.
April 15: GUEST Artists application deadline. This is if you want to participate in the tour, but are not HOSTING a stop. Guest artists do not need to reside in Milwaukee county.
May 1st: Guest Artist acceptances will be sent and confirmed.
May 15: Guest and Host artists/studios matched.
June 15: Studio Tour Map finalized and published to website.
